Welcome!
Thanks for visiting the home of the original PC version of the classic computer game Air Traffic Controller (ATC).
ATC is a text-based simulation of an air traffic controller's shift. You are that air traffic controller. During your shift you must guide the aircraft under your control safely through your sector on course for their proper destinations.
What, No Graphics?
That's right, no graphics. But don't let that fool you. This game may not look pretty, but it's no pushover.
If you're looking for realism in ATC simulation, the impressive ATC Simulator 2 from Thrill Rider Productions might be your cup of tea. It shares much in common with the pioneering TRACON product from Wesson International.
Easy
The big difference between ATC and its modern descendants is simplicity. ATC is easy to learn and easy to play. You control the difficulty level by varying the length of the game, the number of aircraft, or both. Just beneath this superficial simplicity, however, lies challenging game play.
Don't take my word for it. Download ATC and give it a try.
Want to spend a few relaxing minutes practicing your skills in games you know you'll probably win? Set the game for 30 minutes and 10 or so aircraft.
Want a nail-biting, nerve-wracking, sweat-drenched experience? Try the 16 minute game with all 26 aircraft. If you get through it, be sure to send me the log.
Either way, enjoy!
